The UK's leading brand consultant – and here's
why...
Advertising creative director, copywriter,
designer and brand specialist – James has spent the last 27
years in brand management and strategy, corporate identity, sales
and marketing, customer care and issues relating to the psychological
behaviour of customers, consumers, donors and the public at large.
As a respected
brand consultant, he has worked with numerous blue-chip organisations,
including Yellow Pages, Virgin, Norwich Union, Honda, OFSTED and
EMI. In 1988 he was seconded to BT’s £22million
brand marketing department as part of the brand team that
produced the award-winning ‘Beattie’ television
campaign (see clip) and below-the-line support material.
In addition, James
has helped build brands for charities involved in homelessness, overseas
aid, human rights, animal welfare, religious persecution and mental
health. A well-seasoned speaker and presenter, James has conducted
numerous workshops, seminars and presentations ranging from keynote
speeches and addressing senior executives to in-house training programmes
for smaller businesses throughout the UK and Scotland.
In 2001, James
created, chaired and presented key European conferences on Customer
Care and Managing Change, attended by chief executives of major UK-based
corporations. In addition he has taught presentation skills to business
leaders and politicians.
In addition to James' brand work, he is also a qualified psychotherapist,
specialising in the treatment of depression – something often brought
about by mis-aligned thought processes. It is through this understanding
of 'how people think' that James has been able to introduce a much
more psychology-based rationale to branding. He has used this knowledge
to create the Brand Halo™ approach to building and delivering
a powerful brand – including seminars, in-house consultancy and
his forthcoming book.
